Lac de l’Argile Val-des-Bois, Papineau Regional County Quebec Canada. Val-des-Bois, village population of 986 (2011 census), is a municipality in the Papineau Regional County in the Outaouais region of Quebec, Canada. The town is located on the eastern shores of the Du Lièvre River, 47 kilometers (29 mi) north of Buckingham on Hwy 309N. The main local economic activity depends on cottage tourism. The eastern half of the municipality is part of the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve.
Nearby you will find lac de l’Argile, a large mountain lake which borders the Papineau-Labelle Park. Straddling the Outaouais and Laurentides regions, Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle is the most southerly wildlife preserve in Quebec.
